How do i stop my computer from wise saying, cmos time and date not set?

When i boot up my computer, it say cmos time and date not set, so i go to set up, set the time and date. Then i jump to save change and exit. Then it reboots itself. Then it says cmos time and date not set adjectives over agian. How do i fix this?
