How to reinstall my NIC?

Well I am a computer dummy. So could you explain it to me within a way I can deduce? I know network card is something inside myc computer? does reinstalling it process, putting a new grating card or reinstalling drivers? If so what drivers are they?

How to reinstall my NIC?

Depends on if the NIC is built into the motherboard or is a seperate card that is installed into a PCI slot. If you already own an existing card in the electrical device then you might freshly need to install the drivers. Most onboard cards enjoy a driver on the motherboard CD. Most seperate NICs enjoy either a floppy or compact disc of their own. If you are unsure, you could always whip it to a local repair shop or have a technician come and look at it for you. Some ISPs will stride you through the process or send a tech out to abet you.
why do you want to reinstall your NIC?

a NIC is a Network Interface Card, if you are on a computer network or hold dsl or another kind of large speed internet connection it interfaces near the modem or other computers on a network.

if you do want to uninstall: run to start, control panel, switch to classic view, system, hardware, device superior, network adapters, consequently look for something that says 10/100 nic or anything the device is, then right click it and press properties, consequently press update driver software. (this will take you sour the internet for a minute)
go to your device planner, and look for Network adaptors, in nearby you will see the NIC card, It will tell you the type of card you enjoy. You can r. click and make sure it is enabled, also you can update the driver from in attendance if need be.
