How Do You Tell If VideoCard Is On Highest Setting?

I lately bought a EVGA 7950GT KO Superclocked 512mb Video Card. I know this is a higher lapse card, but i still seem to be have problems getting high settings on some simpler games. I know when i first installed it i have some power issues, and had to buy another power supply. When i first installed it said it needed to slim down quality to construct sure my system was not dilapidated. I now enjoy a new power supply, so how do i see/ makesure my video card is running at full power as it be? Thanks!

first of all, you enjoy bought this card not knowing if your monitor will go up to the resolutions of the card. some monitors max out at 1024x768 your card may dance up to say 1200x1200 , if thats the satchel you have misspent your money, unless you buy a high resolution monitor to meeting the card...



you can test it by placing your mouse on the desktop and right mouse click and walk into settings, and change your resolution to the superlative there is i.e. if you have install the drivers for the card
try using device mediator on windows...i'm not sure where on earth you can find it but you can always query
