How hastily is this ?

how hastily is a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 in ghz

How hastily is this ?

2.4 ... X4 .. surrounded by other words all 4 cores run at 2.4 it isnt chemical addition ..
lets simply say quick
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600:

2.4 GHz

1066 MHz FSB 8 MB L2 cache LGA 775 socket

note:

...As we discovered backbone then, given the right conditions the quad-core text can outperform the Core 2 Duo with take the edge off. While current software is still trying to catch up beside dual-core technology, we did find a number of powerful applications that contained by fact saw some benefit from have four dedicated cores at their disposal. The view of having more than one core per processor is primarily to allow individual cores to perform separate tasks, allowing more to come about at once under duplicate roof.An example based on a gaming environment would be: while one core is taking comfort of graphics, another can handle physics calculation, and another looks after artificial intelligence, and so on. Rather than having a single core that tries to juggle adjectives these strenuous tasks, multiple cores can work together, executing work simultaneously. But then obviously software has to be written beside multi-core processing in mind first.

Good luck!
