How much electricity do wireless routers generaly consume?

I read on wikipedia that wifi's Power consumption is in principle high compared to some other low-bandwidth standards, and am wandering how this will effect me and my electricity bill.

How much electricity do wireless routers generaly consume?

Upto a maximum of 10 watts for home routers. But mostly around 5 watts. This is close to compare that to 60 watts for an incandescent light bulb. You catch a rough picture.

In short not much. If you were comparing to low bandwidth standards such as bluetooth, you are speaking contained by the range of milliwatts.
none their lead less haha
Adding a wifi router to your electricity bill is similar to leaving a couple of wispy bulbs on all the time - you'll almost not notice it.
