my computer kinda mess up and i want to start topical as in close to first time you bought it. What if I right click on the harddrive and click on format? will it erase everything including the widows xp home edition itself? do i have to buy another window if I do that? I dont have a cd do you know a site to tutor me to make a reboot disc?

How to format easier said than done drive?

1.) Right click on My Computer

2.) Click Manage

3.) Click Disk Management

4.) Right Click on the frozen drive you want to delete/Partition/Edit and fallow the toturals.

You can also pop within a Windows(R) CD and untilled the screans until it shows you the hard drives and you can delete it that path.

Thier is also a utility that you can use called Boot and Nuke

This program will allow you to wipe you're unyielding drive as many times as you will so all the notes is off.

Hope this help...
right click on drive and format option wont allow you to format the divider on which Windows XP is installed.

You can just boot near the windows xp inventive cd and it will allow you to format the drive.

if you dont have window xp cd you gotta buy it
Yes it will erase your windows.

1. That's one of the problem w/o the disc.

2. Did you creat a restore point?

3. Or you can just save pressing F7 when booting up, then start from the end known virtuous configuration.
If you dont have a disc you should try to repair your computer and then final up the drive to another external drive.

Another option would be to download Windows Xp via bittorrent or try Linux
