How do I bowdlerize the bios to discover a brand new drive?
Uhh... you don't stifle BIOS to get it to sanction another hard drive... you shift to Add New Hardware from the Control Panel.
Normally, a computer can just find it automatically.
resourcefully it depends to what you are doing, such as if you bought a new complex drive, usually configuring the bios won't help that much, unless you are running something similar to a SATA drive with an ATA drive usually newer mother boards would want to set the SATA as the master rock-hard drive, being that it is much much faster after the ATA drive, so you'll have to jump into the bios settings were your sturdy drive is, however depending on what computer you have or mother board your running respectively will look different, but similar, if you are new to this i would recommend you enjoy a local computer tech to do this, so you shouldn't touch the bios. other then that if your surrounded by windows right click on my computer (for spanking new hardrives) go to do paperwork then run to disk management look for the drive you merely installed it should be some letter besides the C: drive anything you do don't touch the C: drive you don't want to accidentally erase it. the you'll need to set up your unmarked drive such as format it, create a new dividing wall, and make it dynamic or straightforward watever you want, but your question is slightly vague so that's adjectives i can give you
